Straight out of high school and into WWII, Vroman served as an artist in an elite intelligence team assigned to General Eisenhower. Mapmaking was his specialty.
After the war he graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and went on to a long career in art and graphic design.
During the 1960s he illustrated several books for children. His paintings have appeared in The Saturday Evening Post, McCall’s, Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping and many others.
